Which Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer kit?
Having since saw DDG 122 John Basilone destroyer at Bath Iron Works being refitted, I’m motivated to build this particular ship. Looking around at Scalehobbyist website and choosing Arleigh Burke Class for destroyers, which kit would work to build the Basilone destroyer? Keep in mind, it does not have smokestacks as early Arleigh Burke destroyers have. They’re flushed. Also with her being fitted with at least 4 domed shape radar(?), 2 on each side - see yellow covers in pic below…

What scale and price point are you looking for?

There are 1/350 scale kits not too bad priced.

You’re probably going to be looking for a Flight II A kit of the Burke Class. The stack tops alone tell me it’s a later Flight variant.

Yup... that much I figured. Looks like I'm gonna need to find any AM parts if need be. Time to go searching...Stikpusher wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 2:56 pm You’re probably going to be looking for a Flight II A kit of the Burke Class. The stack tops alone tell me it’s a later Flight variant.

DDG Momsen does fit the bill but it doesn’t come with 4 radomes on the main deck, only 2.Medicman71 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2024 4:16 pm Trumpeter has a bunch of them.
