Going to try out the Tamiya airbrush thinner as plastic solvent as I have heard so much about it being much less expensive than the thin cement. I also have a new bottle of thin cement arriving tomorrow as my old, empty bottle has been sitting for more than a decade and I don't trust the old gasket on the lid to seal properly.
These liquid cements evaporate quickly especially ones like the old Tenax 7R which used to be my go to.

Nice.
I believe the airbrush cleaner (not thinner) is a slightly diluted version of the extra thin. The thinner is pretty much isopropyl alcohol with some retarder in it.

Yeah, I hope you bout the airbrush cleaner, not thinner. The thinner won’t do a damn thing to your plastic. The airbrush cleaner is a fine substitute for their Extra Thin Cement.

Yep the cleaner. The thinner is a waste of money as I use 70% denatured alcohol to thin Tamiya acrylics.Stikpusher wrote: ↑Tue Jul 16, 2024 7:51 pm Yeah, I hope you bout the airbrush cleaner, not thinner.
