I was working on my A-7E this weekend on the kitchen table, and although the old mojos been low recently, and I haven't been really into anything much - I just got this to the point were I was getting happy with it and I had only the outer pylons and load to finish...

..when my wife dropped a 1LB bag of breadflour on it...

do you guys ever have those aaarrrggggghhhhh!!!!! moments?

Too many to list for me. However, your story reminds me of something from my childhood.

My dad had been working on a 109 diorama. It was an Easter front one...white washed...he had just finished it. The airplane was on a snow covered base with some figures and what have you. He had sat it on a ledge that overlooked the dinning room table from the kitchen. My brother had been giving my mom crap about something during dinner. Fed up, she yelled his full name, followed by "shut up" while at the same time slamming a ketchup bottle onto the table. Dad's model, needless to say, looked like someone hadfallen into a mulching machine. Think Fargo.

Ouch - funny now, but I bet your dad didn't think so at the time!

I'll have to go with Medicman. 99.9% of the time, it's my fault. Whether it be accidental, stupidity, or just an "operator headspace" issue, invariably something happens. I think my most common bonehead moment comes when attaching antenna wire to aircraft or .50 cals on armor.

I pull the tension just right on the wire, secure it, and then promptly lose focus and hit the post, snapping it off. Of course that requires rebuilding or repairing with brass wire....

As for .50 cals, I somehow always manage to catch them with my hand just right so the mount breaks off the mounting pin. Requiring another brass rod repair.

Needless to say, I have a lot of various thickness brass rod.
