Thanks Stuart, hope you will soon start with the Dora Beaver floatplane, also really curious of it!

While the engine was "drying", started with the instrument panel of the F13. Also a rather good model compared with the real one

First priming

Then aluminium

Decaling

And finally some weathering

Rather happy with it, even if the tachometer cauge is annoyingly off-set. :bag:

And as last but not least, some test-fitting of the fuselage pieces

Let's see what next!

That's all looking really nice Kari - the IP looks great. I wouldn't worry about the offset dial - I've seen some vintage aircraft where they were all over the place.

Thank you all!

While the instrument panel is "drying", next in line the cockpit itself. The kit has a number of PE parts, a few belongs to the control yoke

Paintwork started with the BMW engine. Some bits and pieces are still missing from it, but soon that piece can also wait for next steps

I must say, this Miniarts Junkers is really a nice kit!

Let's see what next!

Hey, Kari!

Welcome back! Missed you! If you want engine details you need to have the airframe that the engine was originally designed to be installed in, which if we look at 1917 as the engine date of manufacture should clue you in, I think, that you’re looking for a WWI German fighter, the Fokker D7! It was one of two engines used in that fighter.

Here’s a link to 12 detail shots of the engine itself:

In addition to the photos you’ll find how and why a BMW branded Mercedes Benz designed engine came to be!
