109s, 190s, and Phantoms. Everything else is just for when you're not building the former.

I have two - one in the stash and one on the bench... Which sounds impressive until I tell you that they are the Airfix and Matchbox kits..!

For me it'd have to be - Spitfire, Hawker Typhoon, Corsair and some kind of USN Jet

All of our kits are essentia...why else would we have them?

I think Borg hit on what has been running through my mind. The era of flight. I have actually been buying kits to fill my list of essential. A lot from my childhood, memories you know! Some because you simply have to have them as has been mentioned.

For me, though, my eras stopped around Vietnam. I simply cannot embrace the newer era of jets. Partly because of the difficulty of the kits and mostly because, to me, they do not exude "airplane-ness" like the other subjects.

I guess I ate a lot of paint chips.

It is not them. Looked like their hanger, though. It is located at the Battleship Alabama Memorial Park. Neat place.
