KP 1/72 Grob Astir CS-77 Jeans

Post by BorgR3mc0 »

So, I finished the Grob. as you can see from the pictures this it not my first one. Improvements that I have done when compared to my earlier one:
1: added a little window in the canopy with scrap plastic
2: wings are on straight, the left wing is a problem with this kit
3: tried to get a smoother fit of the canopy with putty.

Improvements in both builds are the antenna and the hole in the nose.

I made some mistakes, the masking of the red is not perfectly symmetrical, paint could have been a bit better anyway.

I’ll be looking forward to those! Sailplanes are arguably the most pure form of manned flight. So sleek and graceful in their designs.

Those are very cool looking. Dig that mile of wing! And we don't see sail plane kits built up very often.
Thanks,

Really nice work Remco!

A glideplane is something I have never built! Can you build in them so, that you are able to remove the wings ?
