I had a big tube of blue automotive putty that I had for years and threw it out several years back as it was old.
Now I am contemplating which one to buy?
The Tamiya white sounds like great stuff but I have never used it.

Tamiya putties, both white & gray, are very good. They are the only putties that I use if I’m not using gel CA as a gap filler.

Thanks Carlos.
Yes super glue makes a great gap filler as well.

Re: Which plastic putty?
Think I'm going to try the Bondo spot putty as it dries fast, doesn't shrink, and it's only $5.97 for a 4.5 oz tube at Walmart.

I rarely use anything other than zap-a-gap superglue (often mixed with acrylic nail powder) and Apoxy sculpt.

Mike, I've had good luck with the same Bondo product. I use it when I have serious "gaps" to fill, and it always works well. And I like it too for all the reasons you listed!Proud Marine Dad wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2024 1:54 am Think I'm going to try the Bondo spot putty as it dries fast, doesn't shrink, and it's only $5.97 for a 4.5 oz tube at Walmart.

I use black CA or My Hobby putty. I used to use Perfect Plastic Putty but it shrinks and I found it not as good as others.
