Former WnW engineers dropping a Spitfire

Post by mostrich »

Under the brand KOTARE they're going to release an early Merlin engined Spitfire in 1/32. Check out the gallery on their homepage. Even though just renders, the surface details are just amazing. If they can translate that into plastic that kit will be the new kid in town.

MSRP $109 on the link page. Near the same as Tamiya in 1/32.

Im so happy to see NZ back on the modeling map.
After WnW disolved (there was no reason for it, they were offered govt subsidies to remain operational) i thought that was it for us. But this makes me happy.
You can learn all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Impressive detail. Gonna have to see who does a review, see just how detailed it is, but I like the scale.

And it’s an early variant- Battle of France/Battle of Britain. The Marque of Spitfire that stemmed the Luftwaffe tide in the West.
