The choice to do 1/35 is interesting but I agree that the preliminary shots look very promising. It's cool to see so many new kits coming out... who says the hobby is dying?

Most likely a brain fart and not indicative of the quality of the model, but notice how the exhaust pipes are directed right at the pilot's face!

Could be a prototype shot, if you look at one of the other photos it shows the exhaust in a different place with a different bend configuration.

You can learn all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I think somebody slapped the parts for the exhausts mirror-inverted on the cylinders. Both sets are misaligned by about 60° to the center line.

That makes sense! If you look at the photo of the real BMW 801, you can see the exhausts coming DOWN from the upper engine to exit mid-fuselage.
