1/32 scale Lancaster by Hackett Part Works

Post by BlackSheep214 »

Came across this model kit subscription this evening on YouTube. Looks kinda cool to subscribe to but unfortunately it is a very expensive subscription. The first magazine is 1.99 Euro, the second is 6.99 Euro, and finally 10.99 Euro for the remainder of the subscription. You will get a magazine packet weekly. Plus side.... no painting involved. :lashed:

Oh yeah, that’s a total of 125 magazine/kit packets in all. Round it around about $1375 Euro. Not available outside UK at this time.

Here’s more info...

It’s too bad they’re not available outside the UK but it does look like a kit I’d love to do but I don’t have $1375 to burn. :bored:

Stuart... you must have heard about this Lancaster model subscription, yes?

They did a similar thing with a battleship a while ago? HMS Hood? Or the Bismark? I cant remember.
It looks cool, but everyone ive known who has gone for one of these gives up half way through. Or the magazines stop arriving before theyre finished. Or something happens and they end up with a half finished kit gathering dust.
Ignoring the fact that that happens when i buy a kit normally, that just doesnt seem economical
You can learn all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
