And it looks like we finally have a true "C" version.

:hmm: I prefer the Cold War/Gulf War I A-10A… No offense to the crews doing todays CAS missions around the world as needed with the Hogs. But that was my era of working with them. :ballbat:

The differences are small for the most part. Lumps & bumps for new antennas and such, plus a new cockpit interior. The earliest A-10s had a different ejection seat and boarding ladder configuration as well.

The A-10A could fire the Maverick family and drop Paveways. It just could not self designate for laser guided bombs. It did however have the PAVE Penny laser spot tracker pod to help the pilot find laser designated targets.

I had a conversation with people on Facebook about this kit. They're all wanting an "A" version. Well, there's plenty of them out there an no one has done a "C". Yeah you can buy the Hobby Boss one and then get the Phase Hanger Resin set to make it a "C", but then you're going to be in the same price range as this new kit.

It’s good that somebody is doing an A-10C. There are plenty of A kits out there, seeing how the aircraft itself has been around since the late 70’s, and many models of it as well. Nice to see that somebody is doing a proper new tool C.
