Hello this is June Marshall, John Eaton's daughter. I wanted to let you all know that he passed away peacefully yesterday after a valiant fight against cancer. He was surrounded with love by his family and grandchildren who adored him. He was our rock, and he was one of a kind. He expressed that he wanted to send you all a heartfelt goodbye message letting you know how much your friendship and community has meant to him over many years. His illness took over before he had the chance to write to you. So I wanted to just take the opportunity to tell you how much you all meant to him. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you would like to share stories and know about upcoming services which we hope to also share on zoom for his many friends he made around the world who shared his lifelong passion of RC and scale modeling.

I'm so sorry to hear that. John was a great guy. I really enjoyed our conversations. He would host zoom calls for some of us to join during covid - those were great. I'm truly saddened to hear of his passing. Wishing the best to you and all of John's family.

Indeed very sad news. I have always enjoyed talking to John as much as I enjoyed watching his works in progress come together. A good man with a great personality and he will be missed very very much. Thank you for taking the time to inform us of this news and I'll be praying for you and the rest of the family in this hard time.

I’m very saddened to hear of John’s passing. Like already said here, he was a one of a kind, and a class act, he will truly be missed here. There will be a big hole here from his passing that cannot be filled. It’s good to know that he was surrounded by by lived ones at the time of his passing.

Oh man, I feel like I've been hit by a truck! John was always one of my most fervent supporters who posted on my Threads all the time! It was one of my dreams to meet him in person someday. I am deeply saddened and overwhelmed by this and I will find it tough to recover from this blow.

I lift him, you, and your whole family up in prayer. May he rest in peace, especially having passed in the loving embrace of his family who was there at the end.

That is so sad to hear. John was always a positive and supportive person, one of those cornerstones in our little community.
Besides modelling here his personal website was lovely to. And this is also a good time to reread his 2020 member interview. A great testament for the the modeller he was.
