EV cars in a model kit

As much as I absolutely hate EV cars and trucks, I imagine building one in a plastic model kit would be boring. No hoods to open to see a detailed engine (cuz there isn't one!), the interior would be blah, & the battery would be installed but never be seen. :headslap: :giggles: :giggles: :giggles:

Might as well be built as a simple snap together kit and call it a day. :giggles: :giggles: :giggles:

Ha! You could scratch build a Tesla truck with card stock.

Actually there are motors, just not an internal combustion engine. After all, something has to turn the wheels for propulsion. My middle daughter used to work for Tesla and in their showroom they had just a chassis on display with all the workings to be seen. It was quite interesting to see the mechanics of the thing. The interiors are fantastic and where you normally would have an internal combustion engine is now additional cargo space.

I have a good friend who owns and operates a large auto repair business. He told me about driving a Tesla for an inspection and was just astonished by the performance. And he's a man with a new Shelby Mustang or two. They are, in a word, very brief.

Oh ya - the instant torque from electric motors can't be beat. The plaid runs low 9s off the showroom floor. Dodge Challenger Demon 170 runs high 8's. :lashed:

Both with factory warranties - amazing

I'll let the tree huggers have their EV car models when I start getting real modern day ambulances and fire trucks. :ballbat:

Amazing tech there - especially on unprepared track and driver is irrelevant. As an engineer I appreciate the heck out of that!
