I'm on the look out for a decent 1/48 scale P-47N Thunderbolt. I could have sworn Tamiya had the P-47N but not sure. Anyway, I came across this image somewhere and will get the decal set for this bird...

Academy and ProModeler did the P-47N in 1/48, Trumpeter in 1/32. Heller did one in 1/72.

John beat me to it. Tamiya does the standard D & M types in 1/48. But both the Revell ProModeler and Academy N kits are very nice. Each has its pros and cons compared to the other. Each will build up beautifully. I picked up the Academy kit myself, just because the Revell/ProModeler kit was out of issue at the time and hard to find. Revell re issued the kit not too long before they folded under Hobbico.

The ProModeler kit. There are two things that I wish were better, but neither is that bad. The landing gear legs have to be installed during wing assembly and after completion are a little wobbly, and the wing gun insert fit could be better.
