Hi All,

I'm not saying I will, but, having been asked what I want for my birthday later in the month and not being able to think of anything. I've been mulling over the idea of finally getting a decent airbrush. I'm not too up on them though, but I thought at least I might look at a 'branded' one rather than a cheap Chinese job.

What would be a good dual action gravity fed brush around the £100 mark (say $100 - $150)?

I only want something general purpose, but something that was super easy/quick to clean, as most of my modelling is done in 1/2 hour slots when I can fit it in, so I don't really want to spend ages cleaning.

Saying that, would I actually be better off with a singe action maybe?

Check out Don Wheeler's material. You can Google search for it. He has an e-book, too. May be a bit dated, but good general info. The Iwata NEO is a good, inexpensive a/b, so are the Badgers - 105, 150.

Thanks Lyle - What're they like for stripping down and cleaning?

Not too bad. I think the Iwata is a tad bit easier because behind the trigger, there is a piece that is seperate on the Badger and attached to the shaft on the Iwata. Both are about the same....but I think the Iwata may be a bit cheaper. I found mine on sale at Hobby Lobby.

I second what Lyle said. The Neo is a decent airbrush for the price. You can also change the needle, nozzle and cap to a different size.

I have that one too. Haven’t used it yet though .

That was my first airbrush before upgrading to the iwata eclipse
