Never understood why or how this is such a big deal. I've heard stories of other hobbyists/LHS owners finding and acquiring vintage finds before.

Yeah it is I suppose. Some are reissue kits but a majority of them are Johan kits. It’s funny to read some of the negative responses. The second video by that so-call “model kit expert” kinda got a lot of folks turned off by his attitude. Either that or he likes to hear himself talk.
