"Inspired" with Blacksheeps post regarding his Airbrush issues, I thought, what a heck, let's ask everyone, what Airbrush (-es) are you using ?

Let me begin:

Mine are:
- Badger Renegade Krome
- Harder & Steenbeck Evolution
- Harder & Steenbeck Infinity CR Plus

My workhorse is definitely the Badger Krome. I use it practically to everything, it's very comfortable, well balanced and sits good in the hand. Pretty easy to clean as well. I mostly spray MR Paint (MRP) colors and it works like a dream with them. Rough but good.



My 2nd in command is the Harder & Steenbeck Evolution, which also was my first so called "real" airbrush after a number of "Made in China" ones. An elegant airbrush, German engineering as it's best, but also more stubborn if the color is not perfectly mixed. Unfortunately likes to spit paint, which is annoying when it happens just when you shoot the last layer paint. But very light and exact when as its best. Very easy to disassemble and hence clean it up.
This Evolution came with two different needle & nozzle sizes (0.2 mm & 0.4 mm), but in practice it's the 0.2 mm that is in use.




My 3rd one is the H&S Infinity CR Plus. I have hardly used it. I bought it as a second hand Infinity from a work collegue of mine. The price was too good to say no to. But for some reason I have not yet "learned" to use it. It's very much like the Evolution, but still it feels different. But I am sure I will become a good friend with it if I just take some time to get to know it better. In my opinion one of the most beautiful airbrushes!

A great idea! Let's start with mine. The first one is basically dates back to my "Colonial years".... I had countless colors over the years. Here's an oldie Testors from the early 80s, Pre-airbrush years....



This was my very first airbrush given to me for my 15th birthday. I started using it a few years ago after buying a compressor. This is my single action Paashe H



The next two are my dual action airbrushes. My first is NEO Iwata Dual action airbrush I bought at Hobby Lobby a few years ago. I have yet used it but hope to in the near future.




This is a Badger Patriot 105 dual action airbrush I bought through the airbrush promotion a couple years back. This one has not been used yet either.




Kari .... The Harder & Steenbeck airbrush has been high on my wish list for a long time now. Perhaps someday if I find one at a great price.

No pics needed for me. I have the same Iwata NEO as Tom. Love it. Easy to clean and maintain. Only gripe is the .5 needle. I'm looking to find something with a finer tip.

Still have my old Badger 200 and a couple of Harbor Freight Chinese airbrushes. But they are siphon feed and a pain to clean so they sit in a drawer

Thanks Tom, oh you should really try the NEO Iwata and the Badger! But I had the same with my Badger, it was unused more than a year before I "dared" to start using it.. Did not regret, or well, I did regret that I did not use it much earlier.
I would also want a NEO Iwata, have just heard good stuff of it!
Let's hope you will find a H&S with a good deal as well!

Thanks John! Is there a possibility to change the needle and the nozzle in the NEO to a finer or this is the only size that goes ?
Second vote already for the NEO Iwata, should I also..... !

I planned on using them soon. At first I didn’t understand what dual action meant until I googled it. Now I get it. I believe you can buy other needle sizes at Hobby Lobby, TJ. Check there.
And I’ve contacted Badger regarding a hose adapter for my Patriot 105 airbrush to use with my Paasche hose. They responded and gave me the part number so I need to order it some point this weekend.

USA Airbrush seems to be a huge Badger dealer. Good service.

Well, here we go...



L to R, Top to Bottom.....Badger 105 (the one I'm using now), Badger 105 the one the first one just replaced. Just changed the hose attachment fitting....should work better now...I hope. Badger 150 the carcass. I used it for parts to fix a 105. Will order parts some day soon I hope. Iwata Eclipse HP CS something wrong with the trigger. likely will have to order new trigger assembly, and the newest Badger 350 at the recommendation of Mustang1989 for painting car bodies. All but the 350 are double action.
