Took a couple pics... Didn't buy any but was tempted with the second photo.

These were $59.99 each. I wouldn't mind either one but displaying one would pose an issue. Both are huge kits.

This was $29.99... oh so tempting.... :giggles:

I took two more pics but must've forgot to upload it from my phone. The only other kit I've been hearing a lot in other forums is the 1/16 scale Big Red T-rod Street Rod. Didn't see the kit but did see the sale sign for it selling for $49.99. Wondered if they got sold out quick.

The I-53 kit... be afraid... be very afraid. Now the Sea Witch And Civil War Set look inviting.

LOL! Why? What do you know that I don't? Fit issues? Inaccuracy issues?

Here are the other 2 kits I saw at my local Ollie's... (pics uploaded from scalemates)

Mars Probe - $10

Snark missle ($12?)

This is the Street Rod I was talking about. Must've been sold out since I didn't see any left on the shelves. ($50) It is 1/8th scale, not 1/16th scale as I thought was. It must've been a hot seller and went quick. Now I can see why. I'll bet they're buying them and selling them on eBay for more than what Ollie's was selling them for.

Just looked in eBay. Wow... If I had seen it there, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it and sell it on eBay.

All of the above. A guy in OC IPMS received it as a review build for IPMS USA. He did not like it, to put it mildly. Inaccurate, poor fit, nothing in scale. And this is a guy who does not shy away from old hard to build kits. He finished it, and made it look as good as he could. But I think that it was geared more towards an RC crowd, than as a serious scale model like the Revell 1/72 submarine kits.

According to the review, it supposedly represents I-153, not I-53. Who knows.... :bored:
