Someone here in these forums airbrushed jet exhaust using Alclad lacquers. For the life of me I cannot find that thread of his build. I've got a few of the colors and in the process of ordering the remaining colors. Can someone post the link? I know he used Alclad transparent blue as a final color.
The other colors I'm ordering are:

Pale Burnt Metal
Magnesium
Burnt Iron
Transparent Blue

I was impressed by his step-by-step method and want to do them for my jet exhaust on my F-16 and other fighter jet kits in my stash.

If my memory serves me right I believe he used Alclad on the F-4 Phantom kit. The shield plates around the burner cans and the burner cans itself.

I'd like to see it as well. I think I'm eventually going to start getting the Alclad paints.

On a F-16, or other current type with afterburner, don’t forget an off white for the inner face of the afterburner petals. Most current types have a ceramic lining on that surface.

That is a great photo reference of the F-16 burner can.

That's my box stock paint job right there. Do the F-16s not show heat burn or blueing? Consider the aft of an F-100.

Hmmm.... Does this color looks close to replicating ceramic color?

Disregard above post. I found something I could use. Over Christmas, Scalehobbyist sent me LifeColor #236 Italian Ivory instead of Polish Summer Uniform Linen # 436. Scalehobbyist sent me the correct color so I gained a freebie due to their mistake of sending me Italian Ivory in error. Yup... I'm good to use that color instead.

I sent him a PM thru here and after I sent it, I noticed he last posted anything here was in 2017. I know he frequents over at FSM. Can you let him know I sent a PM to him here? I’m still looking for that thread on creating realistic burner cans using Alclad lacquers. I’m hoping he was the one that showed us his work on the burner cans.
