And it’s done!

My second car model ever, the other one being a 1/43 Heller F-1 car. Overall it was a pleasant experience. The fit was good, instructions very clear (the part numbers and build sequence follow each other) and who doesn’t like a red Ferrari!

I made some mistakes: the gloss coat could have been better. There are some lumps/dust in the finish and that is quite conspicuous in real life. Also, I followed the instructions to the letter but looking at the model now I think I should have made/paint the window rubbers. It is a tiny thing but I just hadn’t realised it until I glued in the windows.

Thanks guys! I don’t have any other car in my stash at the moment. But I do have some other non-aircraft models. So you can expect me to step into some other fields every now and then.

That turned out really nice! You should build more cars.

Looks like a good turn out to me Borg! As for the dust and all , a little wet sanding with the fine sanding pads and polishing out with Novus will bring 'er home every time.

Beautiful paint work on a gorgeous car! Way to go Borg, you did a masterful job. Joe said it best about using a polishing pad to wet sand out the blemishes.
