I don't mind cleaning up fuselage, wing joints etc but I find cleaning up drop tanks and ordnance particularly annoying.

Added the front windscreen and started painting the seat. I'll have to make my own seat belts I think.

So I hate when a model company gives you no seatbelts at all. No decals, or molded on the seat, or PE. That really irritates me. So I have several WW2 US aircraft seatbelts that in a 50's era jet will work.

Yup, on ‘50’s era fighters, the seat harness is pretty much the same as WWII with a single point release. That really did not start changing until ejection seats came along with the parachute in the seat and not worn by the pilot on their back or rump.

Got the seat finished! Now I can close up the cockpit and get ready for paint.

The seat is installed and the canopy attached.
