Forgot to mention, I picked these up a few weeks ago - nop chance to use them yet, as we're starting to pack the house up to move, but at least I have them ready!!!!

Portable spray booth... (It's quite smart, it has collapsible LED's that sit in the folding hood thing).



And a Sparmax compressor with a 2.5 litre tank, water trap and pressure gauge. It was a bit more than I wanted to pay, but hopefully it'll last me a good few years to come.



I'm looking forward to having a go with them now - although, man, airbrushing is going to be a steep learning curve!!

It isn't too bad learning the basics...Practice, well so they say. keep some old cardboard, copy paper, etc. Get a bottle or two of India Ink from the craft store. A good practice medium rather than using up your paint. Go at it.

That's a good idea Lyle - I've got some of that kicking around somewhere!

To piggy back on top of that advice, go find and old build you are thinking of elimination from your display. We all have them. Use that build as a “paint mule”/“crash test dummy”. Why a build? Because it will have the complex shapes and angles you will learn to deal with that a spoon or piece of paper or plastic spoon does not have. Overspray into unintended areas, or missed areas due to angles are going to happen. Learning how to deal with them on an old build will come in handy.
