A really interesting discussion chaps - and thanks for sharing a wealth of information Carlos.
Really looking forward to seeing what your project is going to be Kari - it'd be nice to see some Allied armour being built!
Cheers
Stuart

That's pretty cool - I assume some kind of combat engineering unit.

Thanks Stuart, still "studying" options here!
Me too, my Jagdpanther as a project has been or still is a little bit too big task as first "real" armour build.. Would need to park it and gain some more experience by building a tank with only one camo color. Sherman being absolutely the best option for me

Well a Sherman does not “have” to be monotone. Aside from winter white wash, there were several multi color schemes worn on Sherman’s throughout WWII. Even if you were to stick with the liberation of Western Europe by the Western Allies, you have more options than solid overall Olive Drab.
Not to mention some of the gaudy “cat” schemes sported in Korea or camouflage schemes worn there as well. I’ll probably get one of the new Tamiya M4A3E8 kits to do in a Korean War scheme sometime this year or next for a future project.

Tx Stik again for interesting information!
You are absolutely right!
But Shermans look also very good just in olive drab!

Don't feel bad. They haven't done one in 1/72 scale either. Nor has anyone done a Jumbo (except in a wargame kit) or a DV Sherman, or an M-50, M-51, and several others that I forgot the nomenclature for.
Kari, I'm looking forward to seeing what you decide to do.
