I’m looking forward to how you resolve any additional details and thank you in advance for your willingness to take critique. In my experience, many model builders and I dare add cautiously most humans, do not sincerely ask for criticism. It’s usually a cover or code for desiring a compliment which often is just as important.

Also, it’s important we share and post ideas, but to do so with good manners. Otherwise there’s no point in communicating.

I can think of several quite simple ways to make the canvas covers simply slip in place. Thin styrene would be one method. Further details could be added with light scribing to suggest the stitches.

You could try a scrap of thin fabric wrapped around a styrene ring, perhaps.

Cheers,

Bruce
Thanks for your message...and critiques must be used to improve if they are said in proper way and with the idea to help/teach something...If they are just "your model looks like shit, or there is a rivet missing under the panel on the lower cowling, so your model is crap..." those are useless and boring... on the compliment side...if you just recieve all the time "your model is beautiful" ( and there are some evident errors or missing parts) that is not helping...
For the canvas protection I will use maybe blak aluminium foil.... :hmm: :hmm:

Ahhh! I knew this would be a potential confusion. There are two covers per strut. I’m going to try to find a diagram of the lower wing to show you.

Basically 1 and 2 as you indicate form a pair that covers the openings. I have to send a diagram!

Looks like they repainted the wheel wells, gear struts, and inner face of the gear doors in the underside color. It is an exact match for the surrounding external surface…. :hmm:
