Think smarter, not harder...
I nipped them off with only a small bit of sprue attached to the gun nubs. Used Gorilla glue to hold the nubs in the hole slots and let them dry overnight. I'll nip off the sprue attachments tomorrow.
See? No nubs lost to the carpet monster or the vast nothingness.

So, those sprue gates were on the guns? Very odd.

End result after snipping off excess sprue....
Looks pretty good to me.

I will go back later tonight to sand off any residual sprue snip cuts.

I love Deluxe brand Perfect Plastic Putty. So easy to use. Apply. Wipe with water on paper towel.
