Went and checked out a new Hobby Town on the north side of greater Houston. This is the second of several stores opening this year. While not great for paint, supplies and models, if you're into Bandai (Gundam, Star Wars and others) then you're in the right place.
And yes, I picked up another Gundam.

Well, if you gonna go to a hobby store there is no point in not buying something. Otherwise, why bother.

Oh nice… the Beaver floatplane. Fairey Delta I’ve never heard of. Tiger Moth is a classic. The other two are interesting aircrafts.

I’ve had a few things come in since my last update here….
Some uncuffed props for my Monogram B-29. There are a very old injection molded styrene short production run item from pre resin days
I also picked up a set of AM decals for my Sdkfz 251/9 project.
Not sure when I’ll get around to my B-29, but I’ll be using the 251 decals in a couple of weeks…

I've ordered a few kits with the last of my birthday money. I've been thinking recently that once I've finished the two Tanks I'm building I fancy taking a break from shooty shooty bang bang subjects. I have a couple of cars I want to build, and a few Red Arrow's subjects, but other than that I fancy building a few trainer/liaison types, or some research aircraft.
Never built a Dora Wings kit so it should be fun - and they're all 1/48. Really getting into that scale.
This I am curious of, a beautiful floatplane and Dora as a kit is for me totally unknown. Cannot remember I have seen any builds of that ever.

Dora Wings is a Ukrainian short run company Kari - I've been meaning to get some of their stuff for a while to support, and because they do some interesting subjects. I suspect it'll be much like you Miniart kit.
Ahhhh I love the D.H.C. Beaver - it's a what might have been aircraft for me. After I'd given up on joining the Forces and was a committed aircraft engineer, my plan was to move to Canada or the US to work on Bush Planes and get my Canadian Engineering Licence, or American A&P. I could have done it too - I had a lot of experience on working on things like Cessna 180's, Piper Super Cubs and Antonov AN-2s. Getting married put a end to that dream though. As an aside, I did actually apply for an Aircraft Engineering position on the Falkland Islands once - working on their Government owned Islanders - that would have been fun.
If I can find some decals, I'll do it as a civvie aircraft - like the ones used by Kenmore Air
