I hear you but to read it, note the work by circling the point and then forget it is what got me miffed. Nothing a few minutes with putty and paint won’t fix.

Understood—I was going to ask about your side project... are you going to use Eduard cockpit components for another 109??? You really hit the German interior tone perfectly. I often wonder if the sheen on war time photos is due to a clear coating or if the photos mislead? At one point I was going to find some Baltic Birch to paint it up to see how the IP reacted to the light.

The colour is simply Aeromaster RLM 66 with a lacquer gloss coat so far but it does look good. The belts are the newer steel belts from Eduard and are a world away from their first generation belts. You are correct about the side project. I shall be doing this scheme:
A little bit of fun from Eduard. The box contains two complete G6 kits, resin cockpit, wheels and other goodies. It is the Bunny Fighter Club entry boxing and whilst not cheap, the value of the extras and two complete kits is still a steal IMHO. I am doing the bunny fighter OOB, leaving all the resin goodies for another scheme. It will have a carrot orange external fuel tank.

I misread “carrot orange fuel tank” as “carrot tank,” and started drawing actual carrot fuel tanks!

Mate I will have a go later today. The 109 scheme is a made up mishmash of LW schemes for the fictitious fighter. Here is a link to the Eduard Instructions:

The underside scheme is based loosely upon reality. JV44 was the unit with the famous red stripe undersides. There task was to protect the Me262 squadrons who were most vulnerable at take off and landing. With air supremacy the Allies would pounce just as the Schwalbes were turning in for their long approach or at take off. JV44 was assigned to loiter near the airfields to protect the jets. The lurid red/white scheme was a quick recognition method for the German AA crews to avoid shooting down the Fw 190’s.
