Cool display Gary! I like the comparison. Any excuse to pull some old kits off the shelf is a good one in my opinion.

Thanks, Chris! :grin: Yeah, every now and then, ya just have to pull them out and "play with 'em" a lil'. And, in all the rearranging and moving of models, only one mishap occurred. I had been holding the 109 in the kitchen's light, checking out the finish issues I've had with it, and had placed it back on that table.

A couple hours later, I noticed a really tiny piece of blue plastic, laying just at the edge of our kitchen table. I almost swept it off with my hand, thinking it was just a piece of trash. :shocked: But I picked it up and lo and behold, I was holding one of the aileron balances from underneath the 109's wing. I gingerly "jigged" the model on it's back and replaced the balance piece. Whew! That was a close call! :whistle: :lol:

Yea those aileron weights have been the scourge of many a 109 modeler :headbang:
