I've only have done this three times, I let it set for about 2 hours before using may have been overkill.

Just saw this and sorry I didn't respond sooner. I never have to thin anything from the can...ever. It comes ready to spray but the only problem with rattle cans is the obvious.....control. Through dispensing and shooting through an airbrush I get ultimate control and satisfactory results every time. The only time I can think of that I wouldn't is if the paint itself was crap.
As far as the degassing period is concerned....usually about 5 minutes will do. The absolute worst paint/ coating that I've seen as far as bubbling goes is Testors Wet Look Clear which, when dispensed (or sprayed for that matter) has more bubbles than a glass of 7-Up or Sprite!!!



Within 5 minutes it's all gone and ready to shoot though
