There are no coincidences, gents, only happy modelers flexing their muscles away from aircraft building. It is all well. A good break. I remember when I joined I was excited to see more aircraft from Mr Mayer in particular—I naively thought it was “aircraft modeler” or “armor modeler”—truly seeing his Churchill and now Torben and Carlos build their respective “cats” has knocked my early naïveté sidewise. And I am better off... or starting to feel the gravitational pull of armor myself—

There is a nice set of rubber tones available from LifeColor. One of my most used set of colours! Work good when thinned with their own thinner.
Also, Mission Models has a rubber aka tire black, MMP-040. AK and MiG should do one also.

Yes! First, though, I am going to start a separate thread here for advice; and I will be following or is it rolling or rumbling or growling, tearing, pounding, what is it that tanks do, and how is it described?

For me as an airplane modeler building armor is so relaxing. Your freshly applied color coat sucked some dust on it? So what. Splash some mud on it and call it a day!
Oh, and to me the single best thing about it is this:
No canopies!!!

No but they can have full interiors. There are some kits out there with COMPLETE interiors. And clear upper hills and turrets so you can see all that detail.

let’s keep it simple... and scale, any subject, AFV or softskin... just a military ground vehicle subject....
