That's a very sad sight indeed Carlos - I hope you can indeed salvage most of them.

Me and my wife are servants of a cat, Moritz. There are two things that come to my mind here:

1. Don´t let him into the shower cubicle (he will drink there, not going to have a shower...)
2. Don´t let him into the room where we are modelling unattended...

Carlos, just give Mako a treat, then go to the repair shop. Your builds are worth to be saved!

Cats... can’t live with ‘em... can’t legally kill ‘em.

So I did the clean up today... My Accurate Minuatures took some of he most impact...

Surprisingly, the Spitfire In the background was undamaged... But both struts on the Mustang were broken midway down, and the tail wheel was mashed up inside the fuselage... that’s looking like a strip salvage and scrap.

My Sturmovik also had all of the landing gear broken off and looks to be in the same category.

Image

My F-80 took a bad hit and aside the nose gear strut was broken in two spots. Another salvage strip and scrap...

Image

my P-47 and F4U look to be fairly simple repairs. Each had a gear strut broken in a single spot that is easily drilled and pinned for repair. The F4U also needs a new prop shaft as that was snapped off as well at the crankcase...

So at least two of the five will be back on display eventually.

Would you consider "flight mode" as a possible option for the Sturmovik, because that is a really superb model. You just would have to seal off the landing gear with some of that tasty Evergreen goodness, and add back some gun barrels, perhaps, or box up the P-51 and the Ilyushin Il-2 for future repairs? Sorry to see the damage like this, but I believe both models would look great in flight. Just a thought. I truly admire your attitude altitude through all of this!!

I thought about that... it is a possibility... but then I need to look for in flight stands and in motion prop blurs... not to mention the surgery or removing the molded open gear doors...

Stik, read #2: I feel your pain, I see your pain... but there must be reason why this happened.. and the only reason I can imagine is that the cat got hysterically scared of something and panicked....

Just sayin' on the behalf of our 3 cats: Shoka (F), Manou (F) and Felix (M) who are shocked of the occured
