Mpm did a 1/18 me-262 with a fibreglass body!

Anyway, 1/48 is about the upper limit for me. Fortunatly there are a lot of good 1/72 kits out there of subjects I really like.

The larger the scale and with it the larger the kit and the details given or needed the longer it takes to build those rascals. So size and time to build them is a natural threshold for me.

I to 99% left 1/72 scale, going to get rid of most of my 1/48 kits and turning to 1/32 scale those years. Maybe an age thing, too. But a kit in 1/32 scale already takes me a very (!) long time to finish so dreaming to build Airfix new Tiffy it maybe would been finished close to my retirement... :o

I have done a couple of 24 scale WWII planes and while there is a big difference it usually isn't daunting or over the top, too much, really....
I have been kicking my self for not buying that Airfix Mossie because it seems as if everybody are hanging on to them or they are like 40 gazillion dollars. I am kind of curious about the Tiffie as to how much Airfix is going to charge for that premium build. My rule of thumb is 32 props,48 jets and 72 bombers with the occasional going out of my mind.

You know what I'd love? 1/200 destroyers and cruisers.

I've got Revell's 1/144 Fletcher, and it's too big. But at 1/350 the thing is about the size of a large hot dog. Love to have something of a sweet spot where you could get a destroyer and have it come out to about two feet long.

I don't normally do kits bigger than 1/48, in this case I will make an exception!! I want one!!!
