Okay now, that MiG is seriously cool.

Airfixer,,,,,have you looked at the AKAN paint sets?,,,,,,the back of my mind says that there is a set of those colors boxed up all together.

http://www.lindenhillimports.com/ is a dealer for their enamels and their acrylics.

I've had a few "Grail" builds...

In no particular order...

1/48 TBF...for "Opa"(Dad's Dad)...Radio Op. during the war...BUILT (would like to find some markings for his Squadron and do another one properly, to honor him)
1/35 Huey...marked as one my Dad flew (and crashed...engine failure)...BUILT
1/32 F/A-18D...marked as my bro's while in Iraq (1st tour)...BUILT
1/35 M60A1...marked as my Dad's before becoming a pilot...in the stash
1/32 A-7E.....for myself, cuz it's BADAZZ!!!!...in the stash with a bunch of a/m awesomeness!

This is my Holy Grail build on my wish list:

1/72 scale Ace Combat SU-33 Flanker D Yellow Limited. Found one at an online store 2 days ago available for $40 but rec'd a email confirmation from them stating they no longer have it. :scream: Oh well, I'm not giving up that easily. The hunt resumes....

There is one in my stash:

1/72 scale Airfix C-47 Skytrain - to be built up as Whiskey Seven. Will be heading out to Geneseo later this spring/summer to the air museum she's at for closer look and take loads of pictures for references. Should be a fun trip.

Some of my Holy Grail ideas are as follows:

1) Dora railgun-- BUILT.

2) Atomic Annie--IN PROGRESS

3)1/72 scale Walker Bulldog. Nobody makes this in 1/72 scale plastic.

4) 1/72 scale M-109 SP Gun. Nobody makes this in 1/72 scale plastic.

In aircraft I'd like to do in 1/72 scale:

1) C-5A Galaxy

2) C-141 Starlifter

3) Boeing 747

Funny really – Although I have a couple of long term build ‘themes’, I’ve never had a ‘Grail-kit’ as such – Perhaps it’s just that I tend to bounce from one idea to another! Or I’ve not been modelling for long enough!

The only ‘Grail’ idea I have as such is to break away from Aircraft Modelling for a bit – be it Armor, Ships, Autos or Sci-fi – I really like the idea of some of those Ma.K kits.

This guy may be able to help. http://www.shapeways.com/shops/anyuta3D

I think Anyuta may be his wife. Stunning lady. Anyway, he did a number of builds on FSM before getting into it with some people over the 1/18 C-172 kit and either left or was kicked off. He designs, "prints" and builds models and much more. The WIP on the gyrocopter is neat.

I forgot one thing in my Grail list: a diorama display of the entire 4077 M*A*S*H compound in 1/72 scale.

I've got a couple of AKAN sets in my stash and did some experimenting with them, and I have to say that I'm quite taken with them. However, I'm not going to use conventional scale modelling acrylics on this project.

Instead, I'm going to paint it with water-based automotive paints within the RAL Classic colour system.
I've conducted a few test runs and the results proved satisfactory.

Airfixer, I am amazed about your talent as a designer of your own stuff and as a modeller. Looking at your MiG-29 "dreamboat" I cannot wait to see this one start!
