Looks like there was a fitted canvas cover for the cab as well. Some photos show it folded on the hood. Is that something that you’ll add?

The last photo shows what looks like the poncho/shelter quarter, identifiable by the camouflage pattern, used as a cover to block reflections off the glass when the windshield is folded down. Something I remember doing in the field on jeeps. And yes I am planning to do that on this build. I like the look of tarp covered windshields. As for the cargo and driver area tarp, I’m gonna have that rolled up in the cargo bed.
Those are great photos Bruce, but those are the Sdkfz.69 version of the Protze. The ammo lockers on the sides of the cargo bed are an identifying feature of that variant. It was designed for towing artillery pieces such as the PAK-36 and LeIG.18.

Several progress points on this one since my last update a couple of weeks ago…

I did some faded paint over the base gray, added a gloss coat then applied the decals

In the meantime I had also been working on the stowage items for the bed and the driver figure

Image

Today I did more work on those, added the stowage as well as the last fiddly bits such as the headlights, turn & width indicators, pioneer tools, etc, as well as more mud weathering on the outer sides of the wheels…

not too much farther to the finish line ;)

Stuart and Mike, thank you!

And now for my latest update on this project. The other evening, I airbrushed on the flat coat…

Then yesterday I used tissue to make up camo rain cape of the appropriate size then added it over the folded down windshield like some photos show. After I painted up the splinter camo pattern, I glued it into place

I just need to add final weathering and I can call this one done! ;)

Gary and John, thank you! I’m calling this one finished.

I’ll get a finished multi view thread up in the completed section here shortly ;)
